About Private Convert

We built the converter
that forgets
you exist.

Not a bug. A feature. No cloud. No servers. No idea what you've been converting.

??? Files converted We have no idea. That's the whole point.
0 Files on our servers We don't have servers for your files.
null Data collected Not a policy promise. A technical fact.
0 Times we've been hacked There's nothing to steal.
0 bytes Server storage used For your files, at least.
0 Emails we'll send you We don't have your email. See above.

It started with an invoice. We had an HTML file we needed to convert to PDF — nothing complicated. But then we stopped for a second.

An invoice isn't just a file. It has bank account details, billing addresses, client names. Real sensitive information. Yet every tool we found wanted us to upload it to their server first. We just sat there thinking: why does a random server need any of that?

We decided to build the tool we actually wanted. No uploads. No servers touching your files. Everything in your browser.

Personal photos, official documents — things you wouldn't hand to a stranger on the street. Yet that's what we do every time we use one of those "free" converter sites.

Your file goes:

💻 your device
🌐 your browser
💻 your device

We use the HTML5 Canvas API and your browser's built-in capabilities to convert files locally. No upload. No processing on our end.

Turn off your WiFi mid-conversion and it'll still work. That's how local it is.

Most free converters are free because your files are the product. They scan content, train models, improve their algorithms — on your dime, with your data.

We decided to just not do that. Client-side processing means we are technically incapable of seeing your files, not just legally promising we won't.

A privacy policy is a promise. Architecture is a constraint. We prefer the constraint.

No funding round. No team photo.
Just a tool that does one thing cleanly.
